This is waterproof leather fabric and the middle panels are extra padded to provide for the quilting. Quilted Leatherette: This is not a plain leatherette seat cover but a lot of effort has been put to enhance the quality by additionally quilting the central fabric. H Do I need to remove my existing factory fitted covers? The seat covers will go over existing factory fitted covers. We would recommend that you leave the seat covers near a warm radiator before you fit them. The leatherette will soften a bit and the fitting will become easier.
